This paper presents an algorithm, along with a computer program, for the multi-product assembly line problem. Known as the ‘goal chasing method’, the model was the basis for Toyota Motor Corporation’s sequencing procedure. The paper includes a short note on the model applicability to the Philippine setting, as well as a Turbo Pascal program of the algorithm.
