Amen considers a cost-oriented assembly line balancing problem with wages and capital cost (CALBP-W) which generalizes the well-known simple assembly line balancing problem (SALBP-1). For solving CALBP-W, he develops a branch-and-bound procedure which utilizes several dominance rules. In this note, we show that one of the rules is incorrect and give a corected and a simplified version of this rule. As a theoretical basis, we formulate a mixed-integer program for CALBP-W.
