A simulation model for strategic project control

This article is concerned with the application of a stochastic network for evaluating and reviewing a project consisting of the planning of a metallurgic plant of medium-size. The complex building process of the network has required the use of simulation as a tool for solving problems arising during the planning phase and the completion phase of the plant itself. In order to face these challenging problems an ‘ad-hoc’ model was built and was applied; results are described within the paper.
